Snow and a Haircut

On Saturday Jayden got to play in the fresh snow in the backyard. We put a rope on our snow disk and would pull him around. He loved it he kept yelling, "GO, GO, GO!"

He threw a fit when he had to go back inside (Jayden not Tim.)

Then today Jayden got his first haircut at a salon. He was better than either Tim or I could of ever imagined. He sat willingly through the whole thing and ate some candy and read a book.
This was my favorite "cheese" face. I love it!
We love this shirt - Grandma got if for him and it couldn't be more accurate.

Mess Maker

We have a mess maker on our hands. When the house gets too quiet we know to hurry and find Jayden. The other day we were a little to late finding him. He unwrapped a whole package of gum. Silly boy. That's what we get for not paying close attention to him.

Things here are going great. Tim is just starting to get back into the swing of school. He has no school on Monday since it's Martin Luther King Day. He doesn't know it yet but I've got lots for him to do around the house.
Jayden and I are preparing to leave this week to go to my parent's house. We're going to visit and spend time with family until Uncle Eric comes home! I couldn't be more excited. Tim is staying behind until the weekend Eric gives his homecoming talk in church.
Jayden also gets his haircut on Monday - he needs it bad. So, we'll post pictures soon.
On Wednesday is the big day for us! We're super excited we finally get to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. Anyways I need to get going Jayden is yelling something about cars at me.

Christmas Morning Pictures

So, it turns out we did get a few Christmas morning pictures.
Here's Jayden on his slide he got from Grandpa - he loves the thing. As I'm typing this he is throwing toy cars down the slide and yelling, "OH, COOL!" He's such a boy.

Jayden is trying to climb over the pile of presents for our family. We really got a lot this year.

Here is Jayden telling us about the cars he got in his stocking, notice several cars in each hand. We need some kind of Hot Wheels carrying case now - they are all over our house and I keep stepping on them. OUCH! Not fun at all.

When we went into the room to look at stockings first thing that morning he started to run into the room then stopped when he saw the table and chair set and immediatly climbed into a chair. Today my project is to paint the set green so we can set it up in Jayden's play area.

Abandonment

Hello everyone! Don't worry we're still here. We apoligize for abandoning the blog during the Holidays. Life got busy and I took a blog break to spend more time with family. (I'm not sure what Tim's excuse is.)

Here's a quick December rundown:
  • Tim finished school and we had a week to clean and organize the house.
  • My Dad had his BIG 5-0!!
  • We got to spend two whole weeks in University Place.
  • Christmas was wonderful - it even snowed Christmas Day!
  • We got to talk with Elder Scott!!! (He comes home Feb 5th)
  • Tim got tools and tool things for Christmas and couldn't be happier.
  • Amanda got some great home items and loved them all.
  • Jayden got loads of toys - his favorite are his cars, slide and pirate ship.
  • Jayden made friends with his Gamma (he calls Grandma gamma - just like a gamma ray.)
  • Amanda had her 24th birthday and spent the whole day being sick.
  • New Years Eve was boring, Tim was the only one who stayed up.

I don't have any pictures yet because we just got back and haven't had time to get the pictures off of the camera. Now that I type that I'm not even sure if we took pictures... I think we did (cross my fingers).

ISSUES!!!

We have problems because this little man:

Is OBSESSED with this movie:

We start this movie 4-5 times a day. He doesn't always sit through the whole thing. But that is one of the first things he asks for when he wakes up. I'm going crazy with the numbers of times a day he wants to watch this.

Isn't there more than one Curious George movie out?

House Pictures

Here are the house pictures I've been meaning to post. The front window to the left of the door is our bedroom and the other window is the living room.
There are two apple trees in the backyard which will be perfect for applesauce next year and we have grapes along the fence which made some good jam.
There's a large garage in the back - it has lots of room for Tim's tools! Right in front of the garage on the right side is our garden. And here's our new car - happy in its new home. We are so very happy with this car. We couldn't of gotten it at a better time.

Snow!!

I know the title says snow but first I had to post pictures of something Jayden did that was such a boy thing. A few weeks ago he had a lunchable and he was on the counter eating while I was cleaning. I look over and this is what I see - he has everything stacked and is trying to eat it. It made me laugh so hard, how do boys know to do those things? I'm convinced they take a 'How to be a BOY' class in Heaven. He was having a good time as you can see.

My next thing before I get to snow pictures is Jayden's big boy bed. We set it up the other night and he will play and take naps but hasn't make it through a night yet. Which is fine, I know it's still early.
My son thinks I'm crazy, he's always giving me this look when I'm taking his pictures. Silly boy.
Snow! We were excited for the snow. Sadly, Jayden hated it. He didn't want to go outside when it was falling and didn't like to walk in it and refused to touch it. He's a wussie. After having snow on the ground for a week I finally convinced him to walk outside.
I don't know if you can see but there is the "look" again.
He made it to the end of the driveway and wanted to turn around and go inside.

This last picture is just so you don't think I'm a bad mom for not putting gloves and a hat on my son. We have tried and tried and tried. We get the same results EVERY time.

Sad, so sad (translation: pathetic, so pathetic.)

Happy Birthday Heather!!!

Today is Heather's 17th Birthday!!

I can't believe how old you're getting!

For those of you who don't know Heather you really should she brings a lot to the table.

She has a great sense of humor and is always making those around her laugh.

(Please don't kill me for posting these pictures)

She is a great aunt to my son.

She is a great sister - even if she was the reason my room was always messy.
She's very DEDICATED! If she decided to do something she does it 110%.
It's either all or nothing with her.
She's a great baker and makes my husband fantastic treats - this wins Tim's heart every time.
Dearest Heater ... I mean Heather, I love you and hope you have a great day. I'm grateful for your example and friendship. I'll see you soon!
Love,
Amanda (Tim and Jayden)

Papa Johns

Happy Day! My husband dearest works here again!!

I personally think that if you have to eat pizza this is one of the best places to eat from. I couldn't be happier that Tim is working hard and earning money and can bring home great pizza or breadsticks (mmmm good!!)

What do you think - where is your favorite pizza place? I must also say that Pizza Pipeline is a close second - especially now that we live near one again.

Lots of Pictures

There are a lot of pictures I've been meaning to post so here they all are. Then I should be caught up with blogging at least for the month of October.

We went with family to Green Bluffs to get pumpkins - we made an afternoon out of it and got pumpkin donuts and walked around the farm. Here are pictures of Tim and Jayden selecting a pumpkin. Jayden was in awe at how many pumpkins there were - he wanted to touch them all.

It was a long day for him and by the time we left he had had enough. Here's a picture Tim insisted we take of his melt-down. (I think I have a few pictures of me when I was younger with this exact same face.)

We made Tim's favorite treat - pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Everytime I cook Jayden always wants to get on the counter and help stir. He had a lot of fun with this project. And I think Tim liked the end result as well.

Here is Jayden making his mad face. When he gets annoyed and doesn't like what you're doing this is the face you get. Tim was trying to tell him to stop playing with the light switch.

We went to the park one afternoon with my aunt and cousin and Jayden kept going down this climbing wall like it was a slide. No matter how many times I told him it wasn't a slide and showed him the slide he insisted on going down this.

Pumpkin carving with Daddy! Jayden liked to play with the electronic cutter (don't panic - we took out the blade.) And Tim just likes to carve the pumpkins - it's a boy job in our house.

Trick-or-treat! Jayden would just say treat please? We went to my aunt's ward's trunk-or-treat on Halloween night and then went back to their neighborhood to go door to door. Jayden loved the suckers - everytime anyone let him pick he always went for the sucker. His costume on the other hand he didn't like so much. He was a dragon (thanks grandma for the costume) and we had to trick him to get it on. Putting the hood on was too much to ask so he walked around the whole night like this:

Wow - I know that was long but now I'm all caught up! Happy Day!!
