Swings

Sorry for the horrible blurry pictures but I had to share them because everyday Darcy asks "ssschwing"? She loves to play outside and swing. I have to say I'm loving having children this age. We're definitely out of the helpless baby stage and Darcy is starting to tell us what she wants and says yes or no.

It's been a good summer with lots of time spent outside. I love that autumn is coming with the cool evenings and crisp mornings. The air seems to change to warn you of the coming winter.

We'll definitely miss spending our days and evenings outside. But I'm sure looking forward to the cozy fires and lounging around with blankets.

School Celebration

After Jayden's first day of school we celebrated and made a large cookie. The kids had fun painting the frosting on and then dumping piles of sprinkles on.

Fever

Sometimes I joke with Tim about a wedding do-over. You know, less stress and more fun! I'd still choose the same groom and same location but really try to enjoy our wedding more. This would spice up our wedding do-over for sure.

Disneyland

When we were in California for Eric's wedding we got to go to Disneyland. Our children had a great time thanks Mom and Dad for taking us. Whenever I get home and look at pictures I always feel like I should have taken more. But here are some we did get!

Sometimes happily ever after isn't what it seems

I really enjoyed the Fallen Princesses Series found here. I chuckled at a few and then started thinking about how life doesn't always hand us the happily ever after. I agree that life is never what we expect or hope it will be however, I think that we can always make our own happily ever after.

Darcy - Larcy quick update

Our little sister D isn't so small anymore. She's really had quite a growth spurt lately and is looking more her age everyday. This girl is messy, she can't hardly go a day without a bath now that it is summer. She's a sticky, gooey mess by the end of everyday. She walking like a champ and saying new words all the time. She's become dependent on drinks (Capri Suns from the storage room) and will throw a little fit until she gets one. Her hair is growing in blonder than blonde and she weighed 18lbs. about two weeks ago. We're counting down the days until she can stay in nursery because she can't sit still for any length of time.

Yummy...

Have you guys tried these? I'd forgotten how good they are until we visited family and had some, thanks again Chris & Laurie. Days after we got home we had stocked our fridge with a healthy supply and 3 out of the next 4 meals included fresh tortillas. They are sooo good! Seriously, run to Costco and get some they are worth the trip. Or, come to my house for dinner and we'll make some up, I've had one (okay maybe two) everyday just for a snack.

Spokane Bowl & Pitcher

A few weeks ago (okay maybe more like 6 weeks ago) we went for a fun afternoon hike with some friends. We had a great time and just let the boys choose our dirrection and ended up wandering around until we came to the land of mesquitoes. It was bad, we tried to block them and shoo them away but there were too many and we eventually had to turn around and get out of there. The boys found walking sticks which quikly turned into weapons and then we had to abbandon them.

As I was going through the pictures I had to laugh so hard at this. Look at that hair! Anyone remember troll dolls?
